Lead Server/Asst. Dining Room Manager Job at Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe
We're looking for a lead server/assistant manager to help run our front of the house operations in a newly remodeled senior living community. We are a very large community that has an upscale casual restaurant, Full service bar along with a ballroom. If you have never considered senior living, there are a bunch of reasons why you should !
*You'll never have a late night at work
*Your days are always predictable as a Saturday is just like a Tuesday that is just Like a Friday. You will always know how many guests you'll have and weather, seasons or tourism will never affect your day.
*You'll never handle cash or credit cards. We don't have a safe on property.
*Our bar is only open for 3 hours a day and all consumption is charged to a bill.
* You'll have another dining room supervisor along with lead servers to preform the day to day tasks.
* You'll work alongside a seasoned Director of Culinary Services and have two Sous chefs that will support you with any needs that may arise.
* The only catering you'll be part of is created in house and for residents only.
What do we expect for this position:
* Train wait staff on all operating procedures and menu education.
* Ensure floor charts and tables are set up properly.
* Greet and seat residents and guests.
* Process guest meal charges.
* Assist with orientation and training of new dining room staff.
* Support a department culture that "always" puts the residents FIRST.
* Assists Dining Room Manager with creating staff schedules and inputs schedules into the Merit Attendance Enterprise.
* Supervises and supports dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization and supplies placement.
