About the position

As a Master Lawn technician, you will be responsible for carrying out applications safely and effectively in accordance with the Master Lawn horticultural application program as administered by operations manager.

This is a fulltime position reporting to the Branch Manager LC.
Shift: Monday – Friday (Some Saturdays)
Morning Shift

What you’ll be doing

• Apply lawn and shrub chemicals and fertilizers safely
• Handle, distribute, apply, and store all chemicals and fertilizers is in accordance with all local, state and federal laws
• Perform work for assigned accounts on budget
• Be able to operate all application equipment
• Keep spray trucks organized, clean and in compliance with all regulations
• Wear personal protective equipment (gloves, boots, glasses)
• Be familiar with label requirements of all chemicals used
• Ensure self and equipment is properly calibrated
• Ensure chemicals are being used efficiently and eliminate waste
• Identify new sales opportunities and enhancement opportunities
• Communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner with customers about the job you are performing, and concerns customers may have.
• Document accurately and keep records of work performed
• Use smart phones for routing, billing, timekeeping, and records
• Become a subject matter expert in weed/pest identification, pesticides and fertility requirements of turf grass and landscape ornamentals.
• Keep certification current and seek out continuing education opportunities
• Respond to afterhours emergencies
• Monitor and prevent equipment damage.
• Assist with snow removal and other general maintenance tasks
