Join Aprio’s Digital Transformation & Cyber Security team and you will assist in helping clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing, firm looking for an Intern to join this dynamic team this summer (June-Aug 2023).
As an Intern for the Digital Transformation & Cyber Security Team, you will assist in the development of strategies that support our clients’ businesses while proactively advancing the availability, integrity, privacy, and security of data. You will help support the creation, implementation, and deployment of executable digital enablement strategies that include digital capabilities strategy, enabling technology solutions, data management and analytics, and cybersecurity. You will work closely with our cybersecurity experts to gain practical experience in various areas such as network security, data protection, and incident response.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity
- Participate incident response activities and assist in investigating security incidents
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Perform risk assessments and assist in developing risk mitigation strategies
- Stay up to date with the latest cyber security threats and trends
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement security controls
- Assist in developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness training to employees
Qualifications:
- Major preferably in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Familiarity with networking concepts and security protocols
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java
- Understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and antivirus software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus
