What you’ll be doing to make an impact:

• Operate and Work from aerial lift.
• Operate independently with little supervision.
• Read and follow maintenance orders.
• Preventative Maintenance Tasks including accurate tracking and paperwork.
• Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old paint, using paint removers, scrapers, wire.
• Performs minor carpentry and structure repairs when necessary to complete painting duties effectively.
• Coordinates with other maintenance department personnel.
• Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them.
• Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications
• Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including power washing, sanding and removing old paint.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler.
• Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings.
• Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers, and apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.
• Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the job:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize work orders
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds
• Team player
• Excellent communication skills including following instructions/diagrams
