QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. B.A. or B.S. in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, Management or closely related field required.
2. PHR, SPHR, SCP, or CP certification and/or Master’s Degree or equivalent, or
four to ten years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
3. Minimum 5 years’ Human Resources experience in a position requiring knowledge of all aspects of the Human Resources field.
4. Minimum 2 years in upper management position.
5. Experience in the developmental disabilities/human services field preferred.
6. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary. Regular attendance is a requirement of the position.
7. Current drug screen with negative results.
RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for planning, directing, and administratively coordinating the human resources activities of Easter Seals El Mirador in accordance with the agency’s mission, business objectives, and applicable regulatory requirements. The HR Director is also responsible for providing leadership and direction to the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of human resources and training, departmental procedures, systems, services, and support across the system. The HR Director adheres to agency policy and procedures and acts as a role model within and outside the agency. As a member of the senior management team contributes as a business partner to the 200+ employee organization to utilize modern human resource strategies to support the overall strategic direction of the organization. The Human Resources Director develops and delivers interventions to enhance the success of the organization and minimize risk and advises senior management on HR issues.
