Hotel Maintenance Technician Job at SpringHill Suites by Marriott
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott, a Cohenterprises owned and operated property, has an opening in its Engineering and Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate for this position has an attention to detail and is passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, etc. to maintain the hotel to product standard.
- Performing preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
- Assist with checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacements.
- Assist in checking and making routine repair and assist on the major repair of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toiles, and sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
- Service hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
- Maintain the building exterior and “curb appeal” (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).
- Requires climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Self-starting and able to work independently to complete work assignments. Be able to receive instructions and communicate the progress of work assignments.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
Prior hotel experience preferred along with 3 years of work experience. Experience with working/maintenance on PTAC units. Pool management experience and/or Pool Operator Certification. Vaccinated for COVID-19.
