Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Helicopter Pilot in Austin, TX area. The Helicopter Pilot position will Manage and Captain a privately owned Augusta 109 helicopter. The job required operations to and from a private heliport in west Austin, Texas, transporting owners to desired destinations within a 300 nm radius. Operations are conducted day and night and in IMC, therefore requiring an instrument rated and current pilot. Pilots will need to be qualified and current on the A109. Helicopter Pilot Responsibilities:

• Routine IFR and night flying conditions
• Scheduling flights
• Ordering fuel
• Submission of Expenses to Accounting
• Scheduling routine and as needed maintenance.
• Coordinate Helo Flight with Fixed Wing scheduling when necessary.
• Providing oversight, guidance and balancing workload, conducting performance management, for the Helicopter.
• Develop working relationships with all groups associated with Aviation.
• Communicate maintenance results clearly with owners and other key stakeholders.
• Work with maintenance crew for a quick turnaround to prevent loss of availability.
• Manage detailed monthly flight schedules.

Education and/or Experience:

• BA/BS/Undergraduate
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Helicopter Pilot
• 3,000 total hrs flight time minimum
• 1,000 hrs IFR flight time minimum requuired
• Augusta Helicopter Model experience required
• Commercial Rotorcraft License
• Instrument experience – Helicopter
• Military helicopter experience preferred
• First Class Medical

Skills/Specialized Knowledge:

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Detail oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
• Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word
• Advanced knowledge in Excel understanding concepts of databases, filtering data use of mathematical, logical statistical and financial functions a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Must maintain professional appearance.
• Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis
• Able to travel with overnight on occasion
• Ability to work with short notice.
