St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Petersburg FL, is looking for a new Director of St. Paul’s Children’s Center, a day-care facility serving infants, one-year-olds, and two-year-olds. Presently we are licensed to serve 47 children enrolled and have 15 full-time and part-time staff members, whom the Director must mentor and supervise.
A qualified applicant will be responsible for providing a nurturing, secure and loving environment that fosters the age-appropriate development of the children while promoting our Catholic values and traditions. This individual must demonstrate competency in communication, problem solving, administrative skills, as well as the ability to collaborate in working with children, parents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies while compassionately understanding early child development and family needs.
Applicants must be a practicing Catholic and must meet or exceed all requirements to be a Director under Pinellas County licensing requirements as well as those of the Diocese of St. Petersburg or have a viable plan to meet them within the allowed time frame. The applicant must successfully complete a Level II FBI background screening and complete the on-line Safe Environment Training Course of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
In addition, the applicant must have:
- A high school diploma or higher
- Current certification in CPR and first aid
- A minimum of 5 years classroom experience or the equivalent
- Management experience preferred
Compensation includes full benefits package. Salary will be based on education, credentials, and experience.
