Job Description:

Our Health System is looking for a dedicated, professional Certified Surgical Tech, First Assist (CSTFA) to join our Surgery team. With our state-of-the-art hospital and network of clinics, therapy sites, and pharmacies, we offer a wide range of employment opportunities in our community.

The Surgical Technician is active in the peri-operative, intra-operative, and post-post-operative phases of the patients' experience. These activities are based that the care of the Surgical Patient is based on knowledge, skills, and interpersonal competencies. The ultimate goal of this position is to assist in the provision of quality individualized Patient Care. The role of the Surgical Technician varies and may include, but is not limited to, peer education, maintenance of the sterile field, advocacy, efficient provision of resources, maintenance of supply inventory, enforcement of standards, and integration and coordination of care across the surgical setting.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved course in Surgical Technology or related curriculum.
• One year of experience in a multidisciplinary OR in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• Required Licensure, Certification, or Registry.
• Current BLS certification along with current certification with the National Association of Surgical Technologists.
