FT Nanny - JC 0243 Job at Chicago Nannies, Inc.
Job Description: Lincoln Park family seeks a conscientious, warm and confident nanny to care for their 2 boys aged 3 and 1. Start date is ASAP. The family is seeking a long-term fit and someone that views childcare as more than just a job. A French speaker would be ideal but not required.
Compensation: $1,235-$1,330/week + PTO, vacation and holidays.
Schedule: Guaranteed 47.5 hours per week. M-F 8:00am – 5:30pm. Family can accommodate an 8:30am start time if needed.
Job Details and Responsibilities:
- Two children. A preschooler and toddler. The older child is enrolled in part time school.
- Childcare is the primary responsibility: engagement, naps, meals, educational activities, reading, outings, etc.
- Nanny should be experienced caring for 2 young children at once.
- Nanny should be calm and value routine and stability. The family is looking for someone to lead with love and empathy vs. rigidity.
- Nanny should enjoy outdoor time and seek out developmentally appropriate activities, crafts and outings.
- Light housekeeping will be expected such as picking up toys, wiping down surfaces, child meal prep, child laundry, etc. Family does have a housekeeper come once a week.
- Parents both occasionally work from home in a separate space. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
Qualifications:
- Nanny should be organized and proactive.
- The family is seeking a French speaker, but this is not a requirement. They are open to other languages as well!
- The family values strong communication skills and a positive disposition.
- Nanny should strike a balance of being silly and fun, while maintaining structure within the home.
- Driving is not a requirement of this position. However, if the nanny drives, parking is available.
- COVID and flu shots are requirements of the position.
