Job Title: FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Reports To: FOOD SERVICE MANAGER

Department: NUTRITION SERVICES

FLSA Status: Hourly

SUMMARY

Performs routine general service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, dining room, dish room, patient/resident, coffee shop and vending areas

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains friendly, efficient, Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, co-workers and clients.

Sets up assigned station in work area.

May perform the following tasks as required: Brews coffee, fills beverage machines, fills yogurt machine, sets up hot and/or cold food areas, salad bar area, and fills vending machines. Stocks and dismantles condiment area and replenishes paper and china supplies.

Maintains merchandising in service areas.

Prepares portions, assembles and labels patient/resident and non-patient/resident food items.

Works on patient tray line. Works in dish room, scrapping trays, loading and unloading dish machine and sorting silverware, if required.

Cleans tables, counters and various types of kitchen equipment and sweeps and mops floors.

Assists with catered events, if required.

Removes trash from department and transports to disposal area

Adheres to all sanitation procedures.

Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.

Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population.

Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation, client and within ARAMARK’S Business Conduct Policy. Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with ARAMARK/HSS, government and accrediting agency standards, regulations and codes.

Maintains compliance with all requirements of Federal, State and local regulations and guidelines including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended.

Performs all other related duties.

Position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively. Ability to apply elementary math functions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to work well under time constraints.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
