Job Purpose

Act as a working supervisor in our downstream production group. Responsible for overseeing the bottling and packaging of bulk chemicals into finished products. Lead a team of production staff by organizing, assigning, and completing work orders to ensure the production schedule is followed and orders are completed on time. Ensure the quality and accuracy of finished orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise chemical repackaging personnel
  • Develop staff through effective training and coaching
  • Assist with recruiting and repackaging personnel when needed
  • Perform annual performance reviews
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or safety officer
  • Ensure chemical repackaging labs are safe, clean, and organized at all times
  • Ensure group personnel receive safety training and comply with all safety standards
  • Write and maintain procedures consistent with LGC’s Quality System
  • Continually improve procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure the repackaging team follows standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and control inventory of components using our ERP system
  • Respond to customer complaints, corrective action requests, and engineering change orders that affect repackaging
  • Exemplify the LGC core values on a day-to-day basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for hazardous waste disposal
  • Maintain and monitor equipment as needed

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree with exposure to science (e.g. chemistry or biology); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Office skills and ERP system familiarity required
  • Hazardous Waste Coordinator Training and Certification
  • 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience preferred
