RESPONSIBILITES: * Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers * Set up dish machine * Transport food carts to and from resident units * Deliver special request items to units as needed (i.e. missed trays, puree vs. regular tray, different food preparations) * Break down dishes from food carts if assigned * Rinse, pre-wash, rack and send dishes through dish machine if assigned * Pull dishes in dish room and put dishes in designed areas if assigned * Take out trash * Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dish room areas and back door area * Complete daily cleaning assignments as assigned by supervisor * Assist with tray line as needed or assigned * Assist with serving food in dining room to residents as needed or assigned * Keep up temperature record for dish machine * Keep records updated on all kitchen cleaning buckets * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent * Have six months experience in dish room or sanitation work environment * Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English * Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, handicapped people
