Deputy City Clerk Job at City of Sanborn
Job Duties:
· Processing Payroll and State/Federal Payroll Reports
· Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
· General Ledger Accounting
· Various Human Resources Functions
· Processing City, Utility Billing, Golf, and Parks Deposits
· Prepare letters, correspondence, and legal documents pertaining to City matters.
· Handle records requests for the public and staff as requested
· Assist various Department Heads, Mayor, and City Administrator with projects as requested
· Serve as initial point of contact toresidents, customers, vendors, and others entering City Hall
· Work closely with City Administrator, City Clerk, City Utility Clerk, and Mayor to accomplish goals and directives of the City Council and Electric & Telecommunications Board
Experience and Qualifications:
· G.E.D. or High School Diploma Required
· AA in Accounting or related business field preferred OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related business field
· Proficient Computer/Software Skills including Microsoft Office
· Previous municipal experience preferred
· Ability to speak and write effectively
· Ability to work with varied interest groups and the public
· Ability to attend evening meetings
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other administrators and civic groups, the press, and the public
