Essential Functions

- Managing and configuring identity management systems (e.g., Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Okta, Auth0).
- Maintaining and configuring firewalls to ensure the security of our network (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortigate, Azure).
- Managing Azure Sentinel and Log Analytics infrastructure (e.g., data connectors, analytics rules, 3rd party libraries, machine learning environment, workbooks, logic apps, playbooks).
- Managing and securing Linux servers used as log collectors, intrusion detection systems, honeypots, etc.
- Managing and monitoring Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for O365/M365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Attack Surface Reduction.
- Managing and monitoring the Defender 365 and Intune endpoint security policies.
- Managing Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy.
- Monitoring vulnerability patch management and working with IT Operations to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Managing and maintaining IT systems hardening policies, procedures and best practices.
- Keeping up-to-date with current security threats and implementing appropriate counter-measures.
- Uphold internal control best practices and principles (e.g., segregation of duties, least privilege principle).

Qualifications –* Education and Experience*
- Passion for information systems security.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly in cyber security.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of endpoint security and management, specifically with Microsoft Defender 365 and Intune.
- Experience with firewall configuration and management, specifically with Fortigate and Azure firewalls.
- Experience with log collection, data parsers, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with identity management systems (e.g., Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Okta, Auth0).
- Familiarity with Active Directory Group Policy Object policy development.
- Experience with vulnerability patch management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and assertive attitude to comfortable with interacting with others.
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Cyber Security degree, related certifications, or long-term experience in cyber security.
- CISSP, SSCP or other relevant security certification is a plus.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$130,000/year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
