responsibilities:
- Ensures overall integrity of all aspects of general ledger accounting records.
- Applies methods of financial and operational analysis.
- Oversees accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting and period end closing.
- Coordinates annual independent audit of financial statements.
- Evaluates and interprets the results of financial statement analyses for decision making purposes.
- Prepares financial statements in accordance with GAAP in a timely manner.
- Prepares new program business plans, financial models, and other analysis as needed.
- Leads and practices performance improvement within the finance function.
- Aligns the department with, and is supportive of, the strategic directions of the organization.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance
- 5-7 years of equivalent experience
- Healthcare industry experience heavily preferred
- CPA highly preferred
