Our client is an FAA and EASA Certified Repair Station specializing in repairing and overhauling aircraft brakes, wheel assemblies, tire replacements, landing gears, and other mechanical components. The six facilities are full-service FAA 145 or Transport Canada-certified wheel, brake, and accessory component repair and overhaul shops. Their North American footprint allows us to service customers from multiple locations to fit their needs best. They have a complete in-house logistics system to deliver to your hangar throughout North America.

A Day In The Life of a Chief Inspector

Essential Duties of The Chief Inspector
- Ensure the Inspection System procedures are followed in accordance with the Quality Manual
- Ensure all articles maintained and released to service are in accordance with repair station procedures.
- Ensures compliance with the repair stations calibration program
- Ensures compliance with the shelf life program
- Responsible for being familiar with Federal Aviation Administration regulations. *
- Responsible for the training and proficiency of all inspectors
- Act as liaison and assist the FAA in audits
- Responsible for the upkeep and currency of Approved tech data
- Maintains the capabilities list
- Performs internal and external audits
- Works independently and efficiently. *
- Writes clearly and accurately on legal documents. *
- Communicates accurately. *
- Understand Federal Aviation Administration regulations as they apply. *
- Responsible for releases to service all aircraft components maintained by AeroRepair. *
- Responsible for the Performance of final inspection on all components maintained by AeroRepair.
- Supervises the performance of maintenance by non-certified employees. *
- Able to perform the duties of Inspector 1, 2, and 3.

- Micrometer
- Vernier calipers
- Depth gauges
- Spring testers
- Comparators
- Eddy current equipment
- Magnetic particle equipment
- Dye penetrant equipment
- All equipment used by Technician 1 and technician two and Inspector (all tiers)
What you’ll bring:
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Ability to handle liquid nitrogen
- Ability to complete tasks promptly
- Ability to accurately read and record measurements
- Ability to act safely and professionally always
- Ability to follow the manufacturer’s component maintenance manual and repair station manual always
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and co-workers regarding status and shift turnover
- Ability to sign an 8130 release to service document.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Must have at least two years of relative experience
Specialized Training:
- All mandated company training as it applies to the job functions.
- Nondestructive training as it applies to the level and field needed.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65. Holds an Airframe rating or a Repairman rating
- FAA A&P License.
- Physical Demands:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
