Job description

The Certified Surgical Technologist possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile technique, combined with knowledge of human anatomy, Orthopaedic and ENT surgical procedures, instrumentation, and technology to assist both the surgeon and the Circulating RN to provide safe and competent care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Secure and prepare all supplies required for surgical intervention
• Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field
• Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure
• Perform scrub functions
• Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure

· Room turnovers as part of a Team

• Duties may additionally include functioning as a unit support technician and in the OR core.
• Follow all federal, state and departmental safety procedures

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: Graduation from a Surgical Technologist Program OR applicable military surgical technologist course of study. Required Credentials:

• Current Washington state registration as a Surgical Technologist
• Preferred: National certification as surgical technologist
• Three years’ surgical tech experience- Ortho and ENT preferred, MAKO experience a bonus
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Fully vaccinated for Covid-19
