With over 15 years of experience in residential construction, Catalyst Construction is looking to hire new talent. We are looking for clean-cut, friendly, hardworking individuals with a positive attitude that want to be part of a successful and growing company that focuses on renovation projects, (bathrooms, kitchens, additions, etc.). We are seeking a Carpenter Journeyman to join our team for projects located in the Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay, and surrounding areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help direct and participate in the following tasks: site preparation, demolition, rough framing, flooring repair and installation, general carpentry, finish carpentry, and minor electrical, plumbing, and painting projects.
• Directs, supervises, and inspects the work of apprentice-level carpenters
• Determines work methods and types of materials required
• Ensures code requirements, safety regulations, and safe work practices are observed
• Adheres to departmental policies and procedures
• Advises on job material requirements
• Operates with little or no guidance- independently seeks solutions, locates appropriate regulations, applies proper procedures to carry out job requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Three years of journey-level experience in carpentry work on buildings: journey-level experience is defined as possessing the required knowledge, skills, and training to perform a full range and diversity of work independently and reliably.
• Must be able to provide own “day-to-day” tools of the trade.
• Must be able to have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• A valid California Class C Driver's License is an absolute MUST with a clean DMV report.
• Ability to anticipate project requirements ahead of time and use proactive planning
• Ability to comprehend floor plans, elevations, details, and sections of construction documents
• Ability to visualize the end result and plan and perform accordingly
• Must be committed to worksite safety and cleanliness

SKILLS DESIRED

· General knowledge of electrical and plumbing

· Multiple trade knowledge

ENVIRONMENT

• This position takes place in a construction environment. It involves hazardous work conditions that require protective equipment and training that conforms to OSHA and applicable State Agency regulations. Some physical discomfort due to weather, dust, and noise may occur.
