We are searching for a Billing Clerk under the supervision of the Manager, Patient Accounts or designee and within agency and department policies and procedures, the Billing Clerk is responsible for monitoring, verifying, reporting, processing and documenting patient billing.

• Hours: 40hrs
• Shift: Day shift; 7:00am-4:00pm
• Location: Southcoast Business Center – Fairhaven, MA; Will be Hybrid, once trained.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Education equal to the completion of High School.
• Must have at least three years of related experience, including data entry experience.
• Third party medical billing experience preferred.
• Working experience with office equipment and tools, including computers, spreadsheets, calculators, printers and on-line tools/databases is required.
• The ability to type 30-50 WPM.
• Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with patient billing guidelines and regulations required.

Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID 19 and seasonal and provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
