SUMMARY

The Behavior Health Technician-ABA (“BHT-ABA”), under the direction of the Behavior Consultant or the Behavioral Services Manager is responsible for delivering direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

treatment to clients using effective and prepared intervention strategies, with the goals of evoking

desired behaviors, weakening undesirable behaviors, and continuously assessing and capitalizing on

motivation using preferred materials such as instructional media, facilitating interactions with peers,

and collecting appropriate data. The BHT-ABA will execute the written plan for clients in the home or classroom setting. The BHT-ABA is also responsible for appropriately arranging the environment for the delivery of necessary treatment, as well as collecting and documenting data, billing, or other relevant treatment information. Further, the BHT-ABA staff must also foster relationships with all internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• 
  Fully implements all assigned client plans and programs with fidelity across home, school, and community environments, utilizing the proper protective equipment when necessary
• Accurately completes appropriate documentation requirements related to daily in-school and/or home services
• Fulfills scheduled visits), completes high quality service logs, and maintains professional relationships with families and community members
• Provides support to clients through Activities of Daily Living (e.g., self-care routines and chores)
• Collects, documents, and/or enters data or other relevant information pertaining to client behavior, goals, and prescribed programming
• Provides coaching to all team members in a supportive and collaborative manner, and receives and implements coaching from others to improve performance
• Conducts all interactions with staff, clients, and internal and external customers in positive, professional, and caring manner
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Supports individuals throughout transitions from daycare to school aged programming in their home school district
• Ensures those in the role of caregiver and supports their child and teach them necessary skills.

EXPECTED SCHEDULE

This is a year-round, full-time, or part-time position. Hours of work will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 7:00pm. Program operation days are determined by the corresponding program calendar.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  Minimum High School Diploma required
• Experience working with children
• Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches Training required
