DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs a variety of preventive maintenance and repair duties on hand tools and a fleet of construction equipment and trucks powered by gasoline and diesel engines with both manual and automatic transmissions. Skill in the implementation of appropriate mechanical adjustments to the equipment must be exercised to produce desired results and must be accomplished while maintaining a safe workplace for the incumbent, associated shop employees, and for the equipment operators

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALITIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
• Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Necessary Special Requirements:

• Possession of a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
• Possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic.

Additional Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
