ATTORNEY: JOB DESCRIPTION
Children’s Law Center of California (CLC) is an employee-focused organization looking to add passionate, skilled, and client-focused attorneys to join our Monterey Park team. We are a dynamic, non-profit organization that is consistently evolving and improving to ensure the well-being and future success of our clients through a multi-disciplinary, independent, and informed approach to advocacy. CLC provides high-quality legal representation and advocacy to children and youth impacted by abuse and neglect. With over 500 employees and serving over 28,000 children and youth in the Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Placer County foster care systems at any given time, CLC is the largest children’s legal service organization in the nation.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and characteristics:
- Juris Doctor degree and a member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
- Prior experience in dependency law or trial experience helpful but not required.
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with children, teens, their families and caregivers.
- Maintain professional and effective relationships with court personnel and coworkers
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
The pay range for this position is $83,500 to $132,000, based on relevant experience as determined by CLC. CLC offers an excellent benefits package including 15 PTO days and 10 sick days in the first year, an up to 6% employer-matched retirement plan, and generous Family and Medical Leave and health care plans.
