Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic located 15 minutes from Wilmington, NC is hiring an additional full time veterinarian. Our primary mission is to provide low cost spay/neuter services in order to reduce pet overpopulation in our local animal shelters and reduce the need for euthanasia. We are looking for someone who is committed to this philosophy. We are a non profit organization and we do this because we care and ultimately we want a veterinarian who cares and wants to make a difference.
Our ideal candidate will have a positive, caring attitude that is flexible, open minded and can handle the tasks of the day. Each day is different. We have a team of 10-12 employees and we do A LOT of surgeries each day. You will be working along side 1-2 other vets. We are willing to give you the time to learn and become an expert if you are not already an expert yet. We work with public animals and also area rescues and shelters. We are looking for someone who will not pass judgment on people who are trying to do the right thing by fixing animals they have acquired. These animals may never see another vet again.
We have performed over 100,000 surgeries and we are seeing less animals dying in our shelters. We are expanding since people drive up to 2 hours to reach us and get their animals fixed. We primarily offer spay/neuter services, but are branching into vaccine clinics, microchip clinics, and simple wellness. We have provided other types of surgeries to rescue animals so if you can do other things besides spay/neuter that is helpful as well. Will you join our team and help us with our mission?
Must be licensed in NC as a veterinarian. Some experience required. We offer a competitive salary, 2 weeks paid vacation, health benefits and a 4 day work week.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
