Associate Director & Lead - Commercial Operations & Pricing Job at Cipla
Cipla USA has an opening for an Associate Director and Lead Commercial Operations & Pricing based in Warren, NJ. This role reports to Chief Commercial Officer - Retail.
This role spearheads pricing strategy and administration for all DTM retail products. Ensure Cipla’s portfolio and customer pricing contracts are conducted in a way that maximizes value. This role will also develop and implement commercial operations processes to ensure the customer buying practices and general support needed (including contracts) is executed at a high level.

Responsibilities:
- Drive Pricing strategies for customers and products for DTM retail team.
- Work with DTM Sales & Marketing teams to understand market dynamics and strategies to set key pricing.
- Coordinate with Institutional marketing and sales to ensure consistency in the process.
- Manage bid processes by customer.
- Liaison with Finance team for pricing execution and sales and profit analytics and forecasting for existing and new products.
- Constant review of existing processes and explore ways to increase efficiencies and bring internal processes closer to customer expectations.
- Look to increase ERP and other system capabilities to increase speed and reduce error in high transaction and high touchpoint activities.
- Collaborate with contracts to review and understand customer written agreements for review and execution of customer evergreen contracts, annual revisions, amendments and special provisions, and product related arrangement sand responsibilities beyond price.
- Drive compliance within the commercial team for key actionable agreed upon contract terms with the customer.
- Work with direct reports to manage the daily activities of updating the contracts systems and price entries for any new approved pricing entries, rebate changes, and customer eligibility criteria.
- Direct report management for other pricing team colleagues, mentor and help lead the department of all pricing team responsibilities.
- Factor in home office work execution to support the need for information flow both from the zone to the home office and vice versa.
Requirements & Preferred Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of seven years of corporate experience, specifically pricing & customer contract management in a pharmaceutical setting. Generics experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have critical thinking & issue resolution skills.
- Great attention to detail while having the ability to see the big picture.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a cross-functional setting.
- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills to collaborate with multiple teams in the U.S. and home office based in India.
- Advanced analytical skills, including an elevated level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
