Assembly Supervisor Job at IMI Norgren
The Assembly Supervisor provides leadership to first and second shift assembly personnel; including team leaders and direct labor and is responsible for the scheduling of incoming orders. The Assembly Supervisor responsibilities include ensuring a safe work environment, assembly department operations, budgetary compliance, product quality, maintenance, and staff management. This leader is responsible and accountable for developing and coordinating the activities of personnel to ensure the production of high-quality products, on-time, and at the lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides supervision, training, and development of direct and indirect reports; utilizes succession planning, skills matrices, performance reviews, and other performance management tools.
- Creates and manages assembly schedule and department capacity planning.
- Enforces transactional accuracy within assembly department and maintains accurate inventory control.
- Delivers KPI performance results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements to meet site objectives.
- Effectively manages the Tier Reporting System; communicates and escalates issues to drive awareness, resolve and mitigate potential and active issues.
- Maintains a high level of 5S. Monitors and inspects to ensure compliance and commitment.
- Utilizes lean tools and methodology to deliver continual improvement.
- Models, administers, and enforces company policy and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies for Success
- Minimum two-year degree from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent experience and **six years of supervision **in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Epicor Vantage or similar ERP to manage demand, materials, and resources.
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Must speak, read, and write in English.
- MS Office experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment; Epicor Vantage preferred.
