Uniquely nestled between two major cities (Austin and San Antonio) and the Texas Hill Country, Hays County is an incredible place to live and grow your family. Since 2009, Young Life has established deep roots in the communities of San Marcos, Wimberley and Texas State University. Over the last six years, Young Life has experienced significant growth resulting in six unique and diverse ministries, which are led by a staff team of seven amazing people: three full-time and four part-time.

The area includes a healthy and established college ministry at Texas State University, which is the third largest college in the State of Texas. Lastly, the area has a growing YoungLives program as well!

The local executive committee, which provides significant direction, wisdom and partnership with the ministry, is one of the best in the mission. The area is supported by a seasoned administrator, along with three student staff. In addition, there are 50+ active volunteers who are mostly college students from Texas State University.

With nearly 5,500 middle and high school students and 40,000 college students in the area from diverse backgrounds, there is a lot of room for expanding the ministry's impact.
