The Position

Responsible for generating revenue and maximizing profitability and sales growth by closing sales. This role is typically aligned with a specific field sales rep(s) or field sales team. Operates under moderate supervision

Interfaces with external and internal customers on routine issues and inquiries. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts and tasks of specific area. Responds to customer inquires (internal and external). May research information in order to follow up with inquiries. Work is generally routine in nature but may involve some non-routine issues. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

  • Contacts assigned customers and sells to/services accounts via phone or other electronic means within a designated territory to develop new business, grow existing business, maintain customer relationships and troubleshoot customer problems. This includes identifying and developing strategic account plans, developing and delivering the differentiating message and quantifiable economic value for products and services, selling the primary differentiation of Roche products, overcoming and managing objections, and negotiating to obtain sales.

  • Negotiates and manages on-going account support, distribution relationships, and programs to meet the customer and Roche’s needs.

  • Maintains complete and accurate customer data for assigned territory in sales force automation system per the timelines provided by business area.

  • Captures customer complaints and inserts them into the Roche Quality System through the CAPA process. Follows Good Promotional Practices as outlined by the Roche Quality System.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years relevant work experience

  • Good oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations

  • Negotiation and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a regulated environment

  • Ability to understand technical market issues and factors

  • Planning and organization skills

  • Ability to drive revenue generation
