Position: Electric Meter Reader

Location: Kahului, Maui

Employers Options is seeking Electric Meter Readers to join our growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Reads kilowatt-hour, reactive kilowatt-hour and indicating demand meters and records readings in designated manner
• Breaks seal on demand meter, resets indicator, and reseals meter
• Reads all types of electrical meters and records readings as required
• Reports improper reading sequence of meters and indicates proper location
• Operates light vehicle and fills automobile fluids as needed
• Provides routine information such as billing period or where payments may be made to customers contacted while reading meters
• Refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel for other than routine information

Position Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean traffic abstract
• Ability to work outside and in sometimes inclement weather and walk or drive for long periods of time
• Up to 10 miles a day
• Must be able to work well with others and in teams
